Terms of Service
The short version: this is bodywork, not medicine, and it works best when you tell Patricia what is going on with your body.
This is not medical treatment
- Massage, acupressure, lymphatic drainage, cranialsacral therapy, reflexology and facial work are complementary bodywork. None of it is medical care, and nothing on this site is medical advice.
- Patricia does not diagnose, prescribe or treat any illness or injury, and nothing here is a substitute for seeing a doctor.
- If something hurts in a way you do not understand, see a doctor. Keep taking what you have been prescribed; bodywork is not a reason to stop.
What you need to tell her
- Before the first session, Patricia will ask about your health: injuries, surgery, medication, skin conditions, pregnancy, anything recent.
- Some conditions mean a technique has to change or wait. She can only account for what she knows about, so tell her everything, and tell her again if something changes between visits.
- Say so during a session if anything is uncomfortable. Pressure is adjusted on the spot.
Booking and payment
- An appointment is confirmed when Patricia confirms it, not when the form is sent.
- Payment is due at the end of the session unless you have bought a package, which is paid for up front.
- Prices include travel anywhere in the greater Sacramento area. Bodywork is not taxed in California. Gratuity is not included and is never expected.
In your home
- You are being asked to let one person into your house, and she is being asked to walk into a stranger's. Both of those deserve respect.
- Draping is not optional. You are covered throughout except for the area being worked on.
- Patricia will end a session immediately, and keep the full fee, if anything is said or done that makes the work sexual or makes her unsafe. There is no second instance.
Liability
- Patricia is licensed and insured, and she works within what she is trained and certified to do.
- Bodywork carries ordinary risks: soreness for a day or two, bruising on deeper work. Telling her about your health beforehand is what keeps those ordinary.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability for anything the law does not allow to be limited.
Changes
- These terms can change. The version on this page at the time you book is the one that applies to that booking.
